Anyway, unless you have been living under a rock for your whole life you will know that a few days ago it was Christmas! Christmas is by far my favourite holiday of the year and I want to tell you what I got for Christmas and also the kind of things I do on Christmas Eve and Christmas day. I am splitting this into two blog posts, one with a list of what I got and this one telling you about what I got up to!
So let's get started!
Firstly I will tell you what I got up to on Christmas Eve.
My mum had to go to work in the morning so in order to keep us busy while she was gone one of my old babysitters Charlotte came round and we baked Christmas cookies!! I would love to show you photos of all of them but sadly, I have already eaten most of them. We made gingerbread men, snowflakes, Santa's and stained-glass window cookies!! Once my mum got home we had lunch then some of our friends came round.
At 4pm we all went to Holy Trinity Church for the Christmas service, where we sang carols and created the nativity scene. I helped my sister put a sheep into the stable.
Then we went back home and had a special Christmas Eve dinner with duck spring rolls, samosas and loads of Indian treats. I then went to sleep and waited for "Santa Claus" to deliver my presents.
It is family tradition at my house to open all of our stocking presents in my parents bedroom, so I go to get my sister and brother then we all take our stockings from the ends of our beds and go to my parents room. After all our stocking presents have been opened my mum and dad make us egg and toast and bacon for breakfast, which is always really tasty! My mum covers the living room doorway in wrapping paper so when we come downstairs we cant see all our presents. Once we have had breakfast we break through the paper and find three piles of presents. We open these first then hand out the presents from each other that are under the tree. We don't usually visit any of our grandparents on Christmas day so we just spend the rest of the day playing with our presents!
Hope you enjoyed hearing about the Davies Family Christmas and I hope you had a very merry Christmas!

Bye!!
